Chapter 05

Get paid.

A door that doesn't collect rent is just a door. The first €600 came from Geneva dental. The first $400/mo passive came from six Bali partnerships. Here is how each one works.

The two revenue shapes

€600
Geneva · per partner per month
€100
Per emergency dental lead
$400/mo
Bali · across 6 verticals
10–20%
Commission per closed job

Two structures coexist. Switzerland is high-ticket per lead, paid by invoice. Bali is volume + commission, paid in mixed cash and bank transfer. Same business model, different cadence.

02

The Rhone Dental deal

Rhone Dental Clinic is the first commercial partnership. The deal is tiered: 30% commission on net-new patient lifetime first appointment, 20% on upsells. Twenty .ch domains route emergency dental searches in French and English to one provider — for now, Rhone Dental, paid via a temporary lead-routing email until the permanent dispatch logic is stable.

Six leads at €100 each became the first €600 — and the proof that the thesis is real. Everything before that was theory.
03

The Bali model

Six partnerships across rentals, surf lessons, tennis, cleaning, photography, and one more. Roughly ten customer requests per day land somewhere across these verticals. The provider closes, takes a digital deposit, and pays bord 10–20% of the deposit each week. Mostly cash-handled, transitioning to Stripe.

Bali is where the playbook gets pressure-tested cheaply. If a model works in three Bali verticals, it works in Geneva.
04

The commission machine

The hardest part of the model is not generating the lead. It is knowing whether the lead closed. bord uses three signals:

  1. 01
    Customer confirmation SMS
After dispatch, customer gets a 24h follow-up: "Did the [service] happen?"
  2. 02
    Provider self-report via WhatsApp template
Provider clicks "closed" / "no-show" / "rebooked" in a structured WhatsApp message.
  3. 03
    Independent payment match
Where Stripe is wired, the bord-tracked customer phone is matched to the provider-side payment record.

When two of three agree, the lead is marked closed and the commission is invoiced from bord to the provider. Disagreements get flagged; the founder reviews them by hand. As volume grows the third signal (Stripe match) becomes mandatory.

What you have at the end of chapter 05

Money in the bank. Real numbers in the finance app: invoices issued per legal entity (CTP US LLC, future PT Indo). Wise + Mercury reconciliation matching. The thesis is no longer a thesis. It is a P&L line.
